Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Division of Digestive Diseases

The Division of Digestive Diseases Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee was established to promote an environment of cultural awareness within the division. The committee is comprised of faculty, fellows, and staff across the department. The mission of the DEI Committee is to support efforts to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals of all ethnicities. It also strives to incorporate education around the importance of cultural diversity within its academic curriculum, including focused lectures and grand rounds conferences on racial sensitivity and bias training. Additionally, the committee collaborates with hospital leadership on university-wide initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion. 

We are proud to serve the Atlanta community and call this dynamic and diverse city our home. From Buckhead to College Park, and the West End to East Atlanta Village, this modern, global city is rich in a powerful history that has taken place across a tapestry of unique neighborhoods and historic sites.
