Lindsey is from Acworth, Georgia and was introduced to the field of genetic counseling in high school. In May 2025, she graduated from the University of Georgia with bachelor’s degrees in Biomedical Physiology and Psychology with an emphasis in Neuroscience, and minors in Genetics, Public Health, and Biology.
At UGA, Lindsey worked as an undergraduate research assistant studying the genetic control of myogenesis: muscle development and regeneration. Lindsey was a camp counselor at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta summer camp, Camp You Be You, for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. She was also a Patient Advocacy Intern at Ben’s Friends. She monitored online forums where patients with rare diseases or chronic illnesses can have a supportive place to connect with others.
In her free time, Lindsey enjoys spending time with friends and family, cuddling with her cat Murphy, reading, and trying new Atlanta restaurants. She is happy to answer any questions and encourages prospective genetic counseling students to reach out.
