Kaliah Davis was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. In May 2024, she graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in chemistry. During her time at Xavier, she served as the Historian/Reporter of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-health Professional Honor Society and worked as a student advisor in the Premed Office. She is also a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated.
Kaliah became interested in genetic counseling during her first college-level genetics course, where she discovered her passion for genetics. After graduating from Xavier, she worked as the Genetics Program coordinator at Grady Memorial Hospital's Cancer Center, where she learned how to assist with genetic testing orders, document patient data, collect family history, inform patients about the genetic testing process, and other valuable skills.
During her free time, Kaliah loves to line dance with her team, travel, explore Atlanta, and spend time with friends and family. She is extremely excited to begin her journey at Emory and would love to answer any questions from prospective students.
