Destiny Crump grew up in Richmond, Virginia, and moved to Georgia shortly before beginning her undergraduate degree. She graduated from Kennesaw State University in December of 2023 with a major in Biology. She got a taste of lab work by working as an undergraduate research assistant in Developmental Biology on the inappropriate inheritance of histone methylation that affects muscle formation.
Outside of school, Destiny worked at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital as a newborn hearing screen technician. Through this opportunity, Destiny gained a great deal of patient interaction and experienced the joy and compassion of the Mother Baby Unit. After graduating from Kennesaw State University, she began working at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as an animal caretaker.
In her free time, Destiny enjoys being outdoors, exercising, and thrifting. She is excited to be a part of the Class of 2026 and welcomes any questions from prospective students
