Kaitlyn Esposito grew up in Connecticut and moved to New Hampshire. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in December 2021 with a bachelors in genetics and minors in psychology and women's and gender studies. While at UNH, she discovered her interest in genetics, advocacy work, and reproductive rights, leading her to pursue a career in genetic counseling.
Outside of school, Kait worked as a Resident Assistant for two years. She built relationships with residents and counseled them on personal, social, and academic issues while providing helpful University resources. She conducted various social events in efforts to promote the construction of community and social networks between residents.
During her gap year, Kait worked as a genetic counseling assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She provided administrative support to genetic counselors as well as the metabolic team. She regularly communicated with patients, providers, and third parties to facilitate care coordination.
She enjoys yoga, playing the ukulele, doing DIY projects, and traveling. She has never been to Atlanta before and is very excited to get to know the area and to be a part of the class of 2025! The application process is taxing, and Kait was just as nervous as you are, so please feel free to reach out with any questions!
