The mission of ITCH-E is to create an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, translational researchers, basic researchers, and patients affected by itching in order to better understand the mechanisms driving pruritus and to develop improved treatments for patients with itch.

The Orenstein lab focuses on improving the quality of life among those living hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) and other severe inflammatory skin diseases, especially those that disproportionately affect underserved populations.
Quave Lab
The Quave Lab focuses on investigating the role of natural compounds in modulating bacterial quorum sensing and biofilm production, with an emphasis on microbes causing skin infection.
Yeung Lab
The Yeung Lab focuses on skin health disparities in sexual and gender minority persons and in people living with HIV and the epidemiology, prevention, and treatment of common skin diseases such as acne and skin cancers (melanoma and keratinocyte carcinoma) as well as measurement of patient-reported outcomes in Dermatology.
