Division of Clinical and Translational Research
The Division of Clinical and Translational Research (DCTR) oversees and approves all clinical trials held within the Emory Department of Anesthesiology.
Institutional credentials for all investigators who interact with human subjects are maintained by the DCTR. The division also acts as the main liaison between the department and Emory University’s research offices including the:
- Institutional Review Board
- Office of Clinical Research
- Investigational Drug Services
- And other regulatory agencies
Support for translational research is also provided by the DCTR with the goal of ensuring Emory Healthcare patients are given opportunities to participate in innovative treatments developed by our leading laboratory researchers.
The DCTR strives to expand the department’s research portfolio through collaborations with other departments, institutions, and corporations both within Georgia and throughout the world.
Anna Woodbury, MD is the DCTR division chief and Director of Clinical and Translational Research for the department. Research coordinator support is headed by Kathy Egan, RN, BSN, CCRC.
All clinical investigators are highly encouraged to meet with both Roman and Kathy during the early phases of study design and prior to grant submission.
Department investigators should access the DCTR Intranet pages for important resources.
