Emory AA Program AA Information
Unfortunately, we do not have admissions counselors or enough academic advisors to accommodate eager candidates in-person daily. All the information you need to know about applying to the Emory AA Program is included on this website. If, after reviewing the information on this website, you have additional questions, you may call the program at 404-727- 5910 or email us at: admissions@emoryaaprogram.org for assistance.
Here are some key points to keep in mind:
In order to meet Emory course requirements, you will need to complete the needed prerequisites prior to matriculation (some courses older than 5 years at the time of application, should be retaken). Please note that course substitutions will not be accepted. All applicants, regardless of their professional or academic background, must follow application requirements as outlined. Use your transcript information to identify any outstanding classes or those that need to be revisited.
Please reference our Prerequisite webpage.
We expect competitive students to have a solid foundation in these areas.
For the GRE, a competitive score is in the 55th percentile in each section, with a writing score of 4.0. A competitive MCAT score is 500 overall (with at least 125 in each area).
The current competitive GPA for both overall and science courses is 3.5, with a required minimum of 3.1. Last year, the Emory AA Program received over 500 applications for a class of 40 students, so you'll need to be highly competitive to be invited for an interview.
Keep that the application “season” begins 15 months prior to each year’s fall semester, so please plan ahead. Applications are submitted online via CASAA beginning in May for consideration for the fall of the following year.
It may also be helpful to meet with your pre-medical or allied health advisors at your college or university for assistance with applying to the AA program.
For more information, we encourage you to register for our annual Open House event, which is available in-person or virtually. If you would like to schedule a meeting for your Pre-Health professional clubs, please email the admissions address above to provide additional information and event dates. We will do our absolute best to accommodate.
