Madison grew up in Hollister, CA, with seven siblings who continue to keep her inspired (and humbled) daily. She studied at Johns Hopkins for her undergraduate degree in Anthropology before crossing back across the country for medical school at Oregon Health & Science University. Her first indication of loving neurology came during her third-year core rotation when she realized that she kept wanting to stay at the hospital just a little bit longer to see another patient or think through a differential. Since then, she has only become more entranced by the field, amazed at its ability to encapsulate the essence of the human experience, while remaining deeply intellectual in nature. She chose Emory because of its devotion to the city of Atlanta and emphasis on developing not only excellent neurologists, but happy neurologists too-- prioritizing a diverse array of clinical exposure alongside resident well-being and personal growth. When she's not in the hospital, her favorite activities include drinking something delicious on a sunny patio, country dancing, baking and buying home decor she doesn't need.
