Tyler was born and raised in Winder, GA. He first became interested in neurology after shadowing a neurologist in Athens, GA, during high school. He quickly became intrigued by the complexities of different neurological cases and was even more fascinated with the exam and diagnostic workup. He chose Emory for his residency training after completing an away rotation here. The residents were like one big family, all super knowledgeable and he knew he would have the opportunity to treat a wide variety of cases and patient populations! In Tyler's free time, he enjoys restoring and driving 1940s/50s Farmall tractors in local parades in the middle Georgia area. He also enjoys playing a wide variety of musical instruments, including trumpet, sousaphone, guitar, bass and, most recently, tenor saxophone!
