Diamond was born and raised in Cary, NC. She majored in biology and minored in neuroscience and chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she volunteered in an Alzheimer's research lab and at UNC Children's Hospital as a pediatric cuddler! She attended Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA, where she was a peer tutor in clinical skills and involved with the HOPES free clinic. Diamond chose Emory because of the opportunity to work in a diverse and supportive environment and receive excellent training as a well-rounded neurologist. She is especially interested in neurodegeneration and excited to explore all the subspecialties the department of neurology at Emory has to offer. Outside of medicine, she loves to bake cookies, tend to her excessive number of houseplants, watch Broadway musicals and hang out with her pet bunny named Snickerdoodle.
