Vivian was born and raised in Jerusalem, Palestine. She moved to the US after completing her high school education and attended the University of New Orleans, majoring in Chemistry with a focus on Computational Biochemistry and finding her passion for medicine and research. She then enrolled in the MD-PhD dual program at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, where she completed her graduate studies in Neuroscience focusing on altered genes and microRNAs expression in Alzheimer’s disease, further cementing her desire to pursue the field of Neurology.
