Dr. Michael H. Chung, MD, MPH, FRCP, is a Professor of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine, a Professor of Global Health and Epidemiology at the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health, and an Affiliate Professor of Global Health at the University of Washington. He directs the Treatment, Research, and Expert Education (TREE) program, which has been implementing clinical trials, training healthcare workers, and treating patients in Kenya and Vietnam for nearly 20 years (tree4health.org). Dr. Chung’s current research focus is HIV and cervical cancer prevention in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). He is the PI of an NIH Fogarty D43 research training grant in human papillomavirus (HPV) and a Fogarty G11 grant to increase research management capacity at Aga Khan University East Africa. Dr. Chung is a US-based mentor for this program.
