Laren Narapareddy, PhD, RN, is an Assistant Professor at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. She completed her PhD in Nursing Science at the University of Illinois Chicago and her postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania in Penn’s Epigenetics Institute. Dr. Narapareddy’s interdisciplinary research focuses on optimizing fertility and reproductive health outcomes. She studies a variety of molecular alterations, including epigenetics and metabolomics, which may contribute to fertility treatment outcomes and symptoms related to fertility and reproductive health. Her work in PCOS focuses on the symptom experience of Black women and aims to understand the physiological pathways linked to symptoms and psychosocial factors. Her growing program of research includes placental epigenetics, in vitro fertilization outcomes, and depression and anxiety in women. She has received research funding from the National Institutes of Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
