Program Experience:
During Dr. Uche Igbasi’s (my mentee) medium-term Emory – Nigeria research training program, we had sessions on writing research manuscripts and research methodology. We also held weekly reviews of her training progress, and newly acquired skills, and discussed challenges and proffered solutions.
I supported a review of her research proposal for ethical approval and applications for the Royal Society for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene small grants call and African Research Excellence fund fellowship program and availed her all reasonable pastoral care.
