Frehiywot Ayele
Overview
Dr Ayele received her medical degree from Addis Ababa University School of Medicine in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This was followed by a three year residency in Internal Medicine also in Addis Ababa. She worked as an internist for three years before moving to the United States. She then completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Atlanta Medical Center, Atlanta, GA. Dr. Ayele undertook her Rheumatology Fellowship training at Emory University from 2011-2013 and joined the faculty starting in July of 2013. Dr. Ayeles clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, lupus ,sarcoidosis and osteoporosis. She is a certified in the interpretation of bone density testing and treatment of osteoporosis. Dr. Ayele is based at the Emory Clinic at Emory University Hospital. In addition, she attends the Grady Rheumatology Clinic and is involved in teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
