This year’s employee engagement survey opened earlier this week and provides an opportunity to shape real improvements to our culture and community based on your feedback. This confidential survey, open through Aug. 25, is one of the most important tools we have to understand your experience and ensure our workplace supports you in meaningful ways. New this year, the survey features a set of patient safety culture questions for those who spend at least 10% of your time in patient care.  

Your feedback has helped us make tangible improvements to our school over the years. Here are just a few recent initiatives we have implemented based on your input:   

• Launched the Career Optimization and Mentoring Program for Academic Success and Support (COMPASS) program to provide mid-career faculty with individualized mentoring, peer support, and professional development.  
• Introduced the Faculty–Staff Partnerships in Action webinar series to showcase how collaboration between staff and faculty in the SOM fosters a deeper culture of belonging.   
• Created a new professional development program, in partnership with the Goizueta Business School, for SOM and department administrators to offer meaningful growth opportunities for department leaders.   

  

I’m proud to share that our commitment to listening and acting on your feedback was recently recognized by the AAMC, which featured our Great People Work Here campaign as a Promising Practice for staff engagement. This recognition highlights how your honest input fuels real progress.
