Today is National Doctors’ Day, and I want to take a moment to recognize you for bringing our patient care mission to life every day.

Across clinics, hospitals, operating rooms, and communities, you care for patients with extraordinary dedication and compassion. The work you do is complex and demanding, but it is also deeply meaningful. Whether you are guiding a patient through a difficult diagnosis, celebrating a recovery, or helping families navigate moments of uncertainty, you reflect what it means to serve humanity through medicine.

I am grateful for the care you provide and for the example you set for our learners, colleagues, and communities.

One of the ways we honor your impact each year is by recognizing doctors nominated by their peers for their extraordinary patient care. This year, more than 300 faculty members were nominated for National Doctors’ Day recognition. After thoughtful review, the School of Medicine Recognitions Committee selected colleagues who live our shared values through their care, professionalism, and dedication to patients.
